Afghan Embroidered Cropped Coat
If you’re looking for a vintage stunner, this one is for you. A short Afghan coat in dark brown with brown shearling on the inside and olive green embroideries made from silk thread. This dream is handmade in Afghanistan in the mid- or late 60s and has two front pockets.
The origin of these Afghan coats comes from the traditional overcoat worn by the Afghan tribe known as the Pashtuns. By the mid-1960s, Afghan coats were Afghanistan’s biggest fashion export. These beautiful coats were loved and cherished by The Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, the Rolling Stones and were frequently featured on the pages of Vogue. These coats are true pieces of craftmanship.
